To celebrate the upcoming workshop held by Jasmin on the 12th of September we're inviting you to explore stylized texture creation on your own and to apply some of the awesome things you will learn about in the talk. Create a tileable stylised texture using the tools and techniques of your choice. Provide us with a render of your material on a material ball or cylinder by the 1st of October and we'll include it in our end-of-challenge video compilation! Also make sure to tag us or use the hashtag #beyondextent if you share your work on social media so that we can promote you.
It can be any material and any theme you like, but if you're stuck for ideas check the attached Pureref for some cool, non-exhaustive suggestions. You can also find some useful resources on the Notion page. If you're pressed for time, try to lower your scope to a more simple material like planks, tiles or rock - for example - or make a material that you can reuse later!
